At this time there is no federal assistance & resources are limited to some of the categories listed below. Please note that evacuees are on guest visas that do not qualify for social services. 


We have compiled a list of services that may be applicable for evacuees and their supporting families.

Health Care District  of PBC will provide medical services- Letter of Support needed (sponsor must prove residency Utility Bill)  or Homeless Declaration. Locations throughout Palm Beach County.

Note: For above services, evacuees must show the Visa they received for their flight over and letter of support from sponsoring family they are staying with.


Healthy Mothers/Healthy Babies 

Palm Beach County- diapers, formula, baby food, other baby items- must have sponsor letter, any documentation. Infant must be present for parent/caregiver to receive supplies...561-623-2800



Senior Citizens

Glades HealthCare has 15 beds available for evacuating elders who have nursing home level of care needs




Not aware of any special offerings for evacuees- normal rates apply for Palm Tran, Tri-Rail etc.

Children being enrolled in public school should be given relevant bussing routes- as with any other child.


Utilities Assistance for Relatives Supporting Bahamian Evacuees

PBC Community Action Program may be able to provide resources for residents who may be housing evacuees. Residents must be U.S. citizens who reside in Palm Beach County and must meet the criteria of 150% of Florida Poverty Level Guidelines.
